Bridal Shower

Hi everyone, I went to a bridal shower this weekend for my nephew's beautiful bride to be. I made this bridal shower card using the Cricut's Wedding Cartridge, I'm so happy I picked this one up, really love so many of the cuts on this cartridge.

I also made my first exploding box album, which was a lot of fun. I followed, Canadian Nickel Scrap'n video, here is the link, http://canadiannickelscrapn.blogspot.com/2010/04/video-episode-8-mothers-day-explotion.html, she has so many wonderful projects on her blog, you should check it out. I used the same paper from the card on the box so it would match.

For the paper rose I used the flower from the Mother's Day Cartridge, cut at 3" and put a little pearl inside

I used the SU Butterfly Punch here, the sentiment is from SU Watercolor Trio stamp set, which will be out in the Summer Mini Catalog.

Love was cut from A Child's Year Cartridge and the tag I used the SU Tag Corner Punch

This sentiment is from SU Elements of Style, will also be in the Summer Mini Catalog, I think this is my favorite stamp set.

The letters are from SU Lovely Letters Alphabet stamp set

Walk in My Garden Challenge

Hi everyone, this weeks Cricut Exploration Challenge is Walk in my Garden. I used my SU stamp set Watercolor Trio for the flower stems and the sentiment. This stamp set is in the Summer Mini Catalog, it's very pretty, it's a set of 7. The flowers and flower shadows are cut at 1 1/2" and the bread tag is cut at 2" and 2 1/4". I used Martha Stewart's fire Opal glitter for the flower centers. I used a Sizzix texture plate for the embossed background.

I receive my new Stampin Up stamp set Elements of Style that will be available in the up and coming Summer Mini Catalog. This is a beautiful stamp set, I love the flowers, bird, and the sentiment, it's just so pretty. There also is two more stamps with it. Here is a quick card I put together. I picked up a pack of Sizzix Texture Plates and was trying them in my Cuttlebug, I have to work on the sandwich settings a little more, the impression didn't come out really good.

Nursery Rhymes Shower

Hi everyone, here is a card I made using the Cricut Cartridge Nursery Rhymes. I love the cuts on this cartridge, just wish it was a full cartridge.

Thanks a Bunch

Hi everyone, here is another card I made using the Preserves Cartridge. I think the fruit is adorable and goes so well with my Peachy Keen Faces. If you have these face stamps then this cartridge is a must. All the cuts were done using Preserves, the Thanks a Bunch is done on the computer. I used the SU Word Window Punch to punch it out and matted it with the SU Modern Label Punch.

Instructions: The card size is 5 ½ x 4 ¼ , I used the pineapple 3 ¾”, banana 2 ¾” pear 2 ½”, apple 2”, strawberries 1” and raspberries 1”, with their layers for this card. I used design studio to hide the cutouts on the apple. I inked around the edges of the cuts and stamped them with peachy keen faces.

Preserves Cricut Cartridge

Hi everyone, I bought two new cartridges this week, Preserves and Nursery Rhymes. I love them both, though I wish Provocraft had made Nursery Rhymes a full cartridge, I could have came up with so many more images for it, but I do love the ones that are on there so I had to have it, LOL. Preserves I went back and forth with do I really want more fruit, well I guess I do since I picked it up. Here is a quick card I did with it. The orange and word orange came from Preserves and the u sweet came from Nursery Rhymes. The face stamp I used is Peachy Keen Funshine Face, it's the biggest one from the assortment pack.

Hi everyone, like I had posted in my previous post I am participating in the Cricut message board cartridge challenge and here is another card I created for it. The card is for Autism Awareness, the puzzle represents the mystery and complexity of autism. I used Printing 101 cartridge for the puzzle pieces with the word friendship spelled out. CEC's Very Special Challenge

Hi everyone, over on the Cricut message board Cynthia is hosting a very special cartridge challenge. April is Autism Awareness Month and we are making cards or projects for some very special children. The challenge is to incorporate a puzzle piece into your project, you can use any cartridge that has one or you can use an actual puzzle piece. She didn't want to leave anyone out who would like to participate in the challenge. For more information here it the link to the message board thread http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=6445745. For my project I used a puzzle piece from Printing 101 and welded a rectange in Design Studio to make it look like a buckle. I used SU stamp set Flight of the Butterfly and the SU butterfly punch. First Stampin Up Card

Hi everyone, I received my Stampin Up kit yesterday and made my first card from it. I used the Bella Toile background stamp, I love this stamp you could use it in so many ways. I stamped it on Whisper White cardstock with Basic Black ink and then colored it with Stampin Pastels. I cut it into three pieces, used the Ticket Corner Punch and framed each piece with Pink Passion cardstock. I stamped the Chocolate Bunny and cut it out and pop dotted it on and I used the Modern Label and Word Window Punch with the Sentiment Happy Easter from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. This set is a must if you have the Word Window Punch, I had bought the Mixed Messages from Papertrey Ink which I like but these fit the punch so much nicer, not all of the MM does. I know there is a big price difference, but in the long run you will use this set much more.

ACY Best Friends Cut File

Hi everyone, I made another card for the Cricut Cartridge Challenge using A Child's Year. Created the card cutout in Design Studio, welded the boy and dog image to one of the card cuts. You just score 4.25" in from the left hand side for the card fold. For the sun I just used the inside piece of the tag and pop dotted a 1" circle on top of it. I used a white gel pen to outline around the best friends cut. I've added the cut file under the pictures. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder distressed stripes for the front.
