Friends Forever

Hi everyone, I have a wonderful project life box from Lori Whitlock's shop that stores 4 x 6 photos and 3 x 4 life cards.  This box would make a wonderful gift or use it yourself to keep your project life cards nicely organized.

The pretty paper is from Echo Park's Reflections designed by Lori.  This is such a gorgeous collection with rich beautiful colors, it's perfect for Project Life layouts.

The inside of the box has divider sections, I used two 4 x 6 and two 3 x 4 but it fits three 3 x 4 and one 4 x 6 also, I can't wait to fill this up.

These roses also from Lori's shop go together so beautifully, they are all individual petals, I colored mine with distress ink and some glimmer mist.  For the little white flowers I used one from the 5 layering flowers set, duplicating one layer.  The lighter green leaves you can find at the Silhouette online Store and the darker green come with the roses.  The key and tag are from the Reflections 6 x 12  chipboard accents and the pearls are in the decorative brads set that match.  I also used some crochet ribbon and Orangesicle Trendy Twine.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've enjoyed my project, you can visit me at http://www.brigitsscraps.com.

Humpty Dumpty Treat Holder

Hey everyone!  Did you see SVGCuts new kit Bedtime Stories, well the castle is totally amazing and I can't wait to make it, but I think the humpty dumpty card is so adorable.
I just had to use him to make this candy tube holder.

I used the column from Moonlight Garden Party collection to make the front wall joining two together.  For the tube holder I used the s'mores box from Camp S"mores kit, I just resized the two pieces to 4.225"w and put a 1.180" circle cutout on the top flap.
I weld the background piece of the humpty dumpty to the background of the column so it's all one piece also.

The paper and elements are from Carta Bella's Alphabet Junction collection and the Trendey Twine is Sky.

Back To School Index Card Box & Mug

Need a quick and easy back to school welcome gift set for your child's teacher.  How about this index card box with cute little apple dividers and a mug filled with some flavored teas and sweets.

I really enjoyed making this Design Team project for SVGCuts, the apple dividers are my favorite part of the project.

The box is from the Tea For You and Me kit, I made it the same size as in the pdf file and it fit the index cards perfectly.  The school svgs are from the School Days kit except for the scissors which is from the Back to the Books kit.  For the dividers I used three 3 x 5 rectangles and placed the apple top edge hanging off and welded.  One on the right, left and middle, so simple but cute.

The mug is from the Farmhouse Kitchen kit, it's such a nice size really fits a bunch of treats and very sturdy with the right cardstock.  I used some In the Navy and Lemon Tart Trendy Twine and the paper is Echo Park's Paper and Glue.

Hope you enjoyed my project, for full directions and files used hop on over to my SVGCuts DT Page.

Back To School

Hi everyone!  School is right around the corner, so I thought I'd make a cute back to school gift set.

Just a little something to brighten a child's first day of school or maybe some treats for the teacher.

I used Lori's A2 Tab Card and decorated it with the books from the Back to School Icons set.  For the September, which is one of Lori's files too from the September Art set in the Silhouette Online Store, I did a print n cut.  I used a couple of digital elements from Echo Park's School Days Mini Theme collection.

The cute bag comes as a set of two that fits on a 12 x 12 piece of paper.  You can fill it with some treats or smaller school supplies like paper clips, some post-it notes, etc.  I also used some files from the Back to School Icons and September Art sets.

I also used some Orange Truffle Trendy Twine and a Epiphany bubble cap.

Trendy Twine's New Halloween Releases

Hi everyone!!  Check out the new awesome Halloween colors Trendy Twine released today, I'm totally loving them all!!

Today only, (Sat 10th)  you can get all 5 spools for $42.00

For my project I used both the Trick or Treat and Spooktacular, the colors are truly amazing.

I had so much fun making this, those skinny treat boxes are my new favorite treat holders.  They are very study and make a really nice candy arrangement.

The colors of the Spooktacular are so pretty together, it's one of my favorite color combination.

And I used the Trick or Treat to make this cute spider, the rich bold colors really make his legs pop.

Here's a good look at the skinny treat boxes, great for all types of party favors.

The minis are also in the store, Trendy Twine does it again, fantastic colors!!

Files Used
The holder for the treat boxes is from SVGCuts For My Valentine kit, I just made 8 square holes a little bigger then 5/8" and staggered them, they fit perfectly.  The rest of the files are from the Spooky Cuties collection, I did a print and cut for the tags and little pumpkins.

Well I hope you enjoyed my project, for more wonderful creations check out what the talented design team made using the Halloween colors over at the Trendy Twine blog.

On to my Project...

The minute I saw this box and card I thought it would make a lovely gift set.  And I knew exactly what paper I wanted to use with it, Echo Park's Here and Now designed by Lori.

I also used two of the digital elements from the collection, I just love the chalkboard sentiments.

This 5 x 5 Decorative Box goes together beautifully, it's one of my favorite cutting files from Lori.  As soon as I glued it together I was like wow and it's a really nice size too.

I added one of the flowers from the 3D Flower Set 8, just used a couple more layers.

I really love this Banner Card with the addition of the 3D bow, it tied the whole project together for me.

Christmas Tags with Cuties!

I'm so happy Mary from SVGCuts made the Christmas Cuties, I want to use them for my Christmas Tags.   And I'm starting early, here's a couple of print n cut ones I whipped up.

I love them, they're so cute and the pnc's are quick and easy, you can do a bunch in no time.  There's two pieces, the tag with the pattern paper and the top with the cuties on it.  The Trendy Twine's Christmas colors are awesome too, a must have for your Christmas projects.

The cut off technique I had seen at The Paper Retreat, I just loved how Melanie made her Christmas cards.

I just love this color combination...

Our group theme is Disney of course, so make sure you hop on over to the Trendy Twine Blog and look at all the wonderful projects the Design Team made using the new Celebration!!

I made a Mickey card/invitation and some lollipop holders, perfect for a kids party.

See how the colors match Mickey perfectly, love it!!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all the pieces and the digital paper.  Mickey and the polaroid frame are from a kit by Frog Junkiee's Creative Creations and the digital paper is a freebie kit you can download here, which the sentiment is also from.  For the stars I used my epiphany tool with the star bubble caps.

I love these lollipop holders, I downloaded them from Okieladybug's Scrap N' More's blog, go take a look, she has so many wonderful projects and is very generous with her files!!

I just added the Mickey head from the freebie kit I posted above, a circle using the text to path in SSDE and finished them off with the wonderful

Filling Cut Files With Digital Paper In SSDE

Hi everyone Brigit here with another SSDE Tutorial.  I love to fill my shapes with digital paper and then do a print n cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  It does such an awesome job cutting out the pattern filled shapes as you can see in the card below.

For this project I used one of the cards from the Christmas Card Set 2 and Lori's digital paper collection Sweet Life.  I only used the card and the two front layers, you can delete the other pieces.

If you need help with ungrouping and making compound paths check out my tutorial here.

I do not import my digital paper into SSDE, I have it all organized by designer in a folder on my computer.  You can see in the photo how I have the folder opened on the right-hand side next to my program.

I just dragged the pattern paper from the folder and dropped it into the shape.

Notice on the card the owl design is to the left and cutoff.

Select the card, go to the Fill Pattern and Advanced Options, click on the Pan Pattern, a circle with crosshairs will appear in the middle of the card, click on it and move the paper around.

I wanted my owl on the opposite side with the white swirls to the right so I clicked on the Horizontally under the Mirror Pattern.

I line up the card fronts so when panning I can see exactly where I'd like the owl to be.  I used the Scale Pattern and enlarged the paper to 110% so the edge of the paper wouldn't show.  The scale pattern is great to make your pattern paper designs larger or smaller I use it all the time.

Lori has a cute owl and tree cut file that matches this collection in the owls set, I used the eyedropper under the Fill Color and selected colors from the collection so everything would match or you can fill them also with the digital paper.  The sentiment is an element from the Sweet Life collection, to cut that out you need to first do a trace, that will be covered in another tutorial.

All my pieces fit on one 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, registration is checked under the Registration Marks and I make sure all my cuts are selected under the Cut Style.  Now I'm ready to do a print n cut.

Other Supplies Used
AC White Textured Cardstock
In the Navy Trendy Twine
Brads

Thanks for stopping by, I hope this tutorial has helped, Lori has such wonderful digital paper and elements at JessicaSprague.com, have fun!!
