Love is in the pages of our Story...

Unity's Decemeber 2012 KOTM is such a beautiful kit, it's called Everyday Fairtale, it's definitely one of my favorites.  I've used this stamp before and truly love it and the sentiment is just so pretty.

I wanted a little change of pace from all the fall and Halloween colors, plus I'm practicing with my gel sticks, so much fun coloring with these.  I added some ribbon a little bit of Grape Fizz Trendy Twine and a cute rosette button from Buttons Galore and More.  I love the softness, it would make a great wedding card.

Autumn Acorn Gift Set

Hi everyone!  I have an autumn acorn set to share with you today.
This is my Lori Whitlock Creative Team project over on the blog.
I used Echo Park's Reflections Fall paper designed by Lori, it's one of my favorite collections, I used the digital version for this project.

For the Fall Acorn Pop-Up card I ungrouped and moved the acorn over so I could add the Autumn Days phase, which I did a print n cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I weaved some Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine through the holes with a needle, these pop-up cards of Lori's are perfect for that.

The Acorn Treat Bag is so simple to put together, I added some vellum in the front so I could put a tealight with some potpourri inside.  Just added a pretty crochet bow from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some twine, a wooden button and a sentiment from the paper collection.

Hope you enjoyed my project

Unity Halloween Treat Bags

I'm lovin' these treat holders made using the bag from Unity Stamps July 2012 KOTM.  Lindsey from The Frugal Crafter has a great video using another bag stamp creating Christmas gift card holders, what a wonderful idea!!  If  you add the ribbon on top these will also hold a gift card but I put some peppermint patties inside for Halloween.

The stamps used on the front are from Unity's Too Cute To Spook set and I used some Orange Licorice Trendy Twine for the handles.  The ribbon is just some white seam binding I quickly dyed using some distress ink.

I stamped 3 on one piece of 8 1/2" x 11" kraft cardstock and then cut them apart.

I scored on the bottom of the bag and then from that score I went in 3/8" and scored and then another 3/8" and scored.

Holding the bag together I cut around the top and both sides, you don't have to be so precise just ink the edges after.  Punch two holes and use ribbon or twine for your handles, you can also add tissue paper like Lindsey did in her video.  Definitely check out her youtube channel, she has so many wonderful videos.

Unity Stamps Oct/Nov Challenge

I made this card for this month's Unity Stamps challenge using the same bokeh technique that I used yesterday for the butterfly card.  I really enjoy this technique I find it very therapeutic, lol

The ornament and sentiment stamps are from Unity's Bright & Merry Winter Wishes set and the border is from the Sweet Summer Love 6/12 KOTM, it made great peppermint sticks!
I Chocolate Truffle and Cranberry Trendy Twine also.
For how I did the bokeh technique check out my post from yesterday.

Bokeh Butterfly

I saw this really cool technique over at Splitcoaststampers by Linda Fiedler, it's called Bokeh Background.  Linda's came out so beautiful, I'll have to practice some more, I'm really love it, she has a video so hop on over and check it out.

I used a gel stick, distress ink and archival black on this one.  Some Aqua Midnight Trendy Twine here.

This was my first and I used a gel stick and stampin up ink on this one.  I like the one above better.  The butterfly and sentiment are both Unity Stamps and I used some In the Navy Trendy Twine.

Bottle of Boos with Ghost Wine Glasses

I wanted to make these ghost glasses when I made my SVGCuts design team project Bottle of Boos but didn't get a chance.  I bought the glasses at the dollar store filled them with marshmallows and put vinyl faces on them.  I think they are so cute, I got the idea from the Creative Party Ideas by Cheryl website, such a great website, check it out so many cute ideas.

It's such a simple project and a fun Halloween party favor.

I think I'll add some tags and make some more for my family Halloween get together!!
