Envelope Mini Album

Over on the Cricut messageboard Pinkbuggielvr did a envelope mini album that is absolutely beautiful. I went to check out the video on how to make it and ended up YouTube video hopping. Well, I ended up at another envelope mini album so I decided to try that one. Though I'm going to try the one that Pinkbuggielvr made. I used regular dollar store no: 10 envelopes folded in half. Here is the link to the video, I didn't cut the tops of the envelopes, I just glued them inside. Also my pages are a little different, my envelopes had a big opening in the front. I really like this idea of using envelopes. This album is for my puppy Freckles, I'm not finished with it yet, have to embellish the inside and add pictures of him. Also I like the pockets, I'll keep his vet info and little tidbits in the pockets. I created tags so I could put info about him on them.

The flower is wrapping paper that I put mod podge on and it kind of looks like leather snake's skin. It's pretty cool looking in person.

For the tags I used Sweet Treats Cartridge and for the enclosure I used Fabulous Finds.

Oh and this is Freckles, my spoiled little love!

Fabulous Find's Folders Cont...

I'm not done yet but here is a picture of what I've done so far. I have about 10 more to do, but these folders are great, I can get to the cartridge and overlay in one spot. I trimmed the solution cartridges so they would fit into the folders, as you can see I trimmed the mini's too. Oh and the cardstock I used is Martha Stewart's 120 pack from Michaels, I got this on clearance for $14.99 and a 20% off coupon, I love this cardstock it's very sturdy and it cuts out great.

Cricut Cartridge, Handbook and Overlay Folder

I received my rewards cartridge today, Fabulous Finds. I wanted to get this one for awhile but I kept putting it off. Well I think I'm really going to like it a lot. I have been keeping my cartridges in one box and my handbooks and overlays in another, the orginal boxes just take up to much space. While I was waiting for my cartridge I created this folder to hold the cartridge, handbook and overlays together this way I can keep them all in one box. I love it! I'm adding the file if anyone would like it. After it's cut out I folded the folder on it's score lines, I was going to add score lines 1/2 inch from the ones the folder had but it's just as easy to measure and score on my scoring board, plus I really don't like the score lines. So score 1/2 out from the ones that are on the cutout.

The little piece of cardstock is for the cricut cartridge so it doesn't slide down to the bottom of the folder. I want to be able to get it without digging down the folder. I scored that at 1 1/2", 2", 3 1/2" and 4", I glue the last 1/2".

Just tuck that down to the bottom right of the folder and the cricut cartridge sits on it nicely. Here is what it looks like...

Hoping to get a Gypsy, but this will do for the time being. Here is the file:
