You Light Up My Nights - Lori Whitlock Project

Hi everyone! It's my turn over at Lori Whitlock's blog today and I created this cute mason jar shaker card using one of the new shaker files. If you haven't already definitely check them out, these are so fun to make and people really enjoy receiving them. Lori also added a bunch of new shaped cards in the shop, which I totally love too!

For the card I used SSDE and duplicated the front piece and did a mirror image above, nudged down and welded them together to form my card base. Then I assembled the jar and glued it to the card base. For the firefly I used the busy as a bee and duplicate the wings, the cute little face is from Peachy Keens In the Garden assortment set. The green stems are modern flowers and I used some red stickles. The blue polka dot flowers are from the 3D flower set 11 and the butterfly is from the 3 butterflies 2 set. I used a peachy keen sentiment from A Little Light Camping, paper is Echo Park's We Are Family designed by Lori, beautiful paper!!

Good Things Are Happening

Here's a quick card using Carta Bella's Wildflower paper and elements.  I used the paper from the 6 x 6 pad and the elements I printed from the digital kit.  This is such a pretty collection, very mod and outdoorsy.  I used a couple of sequins and some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.

Here's a real quick card I made using SVGCuts new collection Bicycle Built for Two, sweet and simple.

The stamp is from Jaded Blossom's Picture This set, this one is a must have, some Lemon Tart Trendy Twine and digital paper is Carta Bella's Cool Summer.

One In A Melon Rocker Card

I just love this new rocker card from Lori Whitlock's store, this is the straight, but there's a scallop and pinking edge also.

I thought it would look cute as a watermelon plus I wanted to use one of my new Jaded Blossom stamps from the Feeling Fruity set.  The cute little bug is from the 3 bug set and the watermelon is from the Patriotic Icon set.  I added a touch of  Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine and some white gel pen dots to finish it!!

Butterfly Easel Card

This butterfly easel card is one of the new files Lori Whitlock has in her shop today, it's such a pretty easel card.  The digital paper I used Happy Day is also by Lori.  There's a hole in the center to hold the butterfly together with a brad and also two on the base to help it stand up.

I'll Be There For You

What a cute simple card from SVGCuts new kit Cards For Moms.  All I did was add some Peachy Keen Faces, Tickled With Teal Trendy Twine and a Unity sentiment.  The digital paper is Echo Park's Sweet Girl, I love the yellow wood grain, so perfect for spring and summer.

Boys Will Be Boys

This center panel step card that I purchase from the Silhouette Store is such a cool card design.  It's one of Lori Whitlock designs, you can also get it here at her store in svg format.  I used digital paper and elements from Echo Parks All About A Boy collection, that's also by Lori Whitlock.  The grass and clouds are both from the Easter Bunny card and I used some Orangesicle Trendy Twine.

Berry Sweet

This strawberry stamp and the one I used for the backgroud are so cute, they're from Unity's June 2012 KOTM, Sweet Summer Love.  I used my Distress Markers to color in the strawberry.  

I wanted to make a simple card and show off how great this Trendy Twine Limeade color is, it's so vibrant, I love it!  It's part of an April bundle special over at Annie's Paper Boutique, the other two colors are Tickled Pink and Lemon Tart, definitely a must have for spring. 

The flower is just a punch, I actually made something without my cutting machine, lol!!

You're One Of A Kind

I made another easel card using a background from Mrs. Robinson's 12 x 12 collection, I'm really loving these scrapbook cut files as cards.  I added a pink shadow layer just for a slight outline and pearls on the flowers.  This time I used some paper and elements from Echo Park's Sweet Girl collection.  So if your a card maker definitely check out this collection.

We Are Family!

Carta Bella's Traditions is so beautiful, I love all the papers and the elements!!  I thought it went nicely with this page from SVGCuts Mrs. Robinson's 12 x 12 collection.  I love the keys and the whole layout, it has that old fashion look I was going for.  Even the holes were perfect I just threaded some Cranberry Trendy Twine through, love how it looks.  I grouped the flowers and sentiment to a circle and cut it out as one piece with my cameo, but it would look cute to have some flowers popped up, I was looking for something quick, maybe next time.

You Make Me Smile

The center of the flower is from SVGCuts new kit High Skies, which is free this week with a purchase of $9.98, use code FREEGIFT.  In the kit there is a printables folder which is already for you to do a print and cut, I just changed the colors to match my paper.  The flower shaped card is from the Shaped Cards and Envelopes Kit, I used this often, I really love shaped cards.

The paper and elements are from Echo Park's Sweet Girl collection and the Trendy Twine is Cranberry.  I used it also for the butterfly's antennas by wrapping it around wire.  I just ran a strip of tape from my tape gun right over the wire and wrapped, it holds the twine very well.

Fun in the Sun

After making the card with the little chick in the egg I thought this dinosaur from SVG Cuts Birthday Dinosaur would also look cute popping out of the egg from that collection.  I just added an oval for his nose and the nostrils.  The paper and elements are all from Echo Park's Paradise Beach, what a fun collection.  I think it would make a great card for a child's summer party.  The eyes I had made in eCal awhile ago, I just did a print and cut, I love my Silhouette Cameo with my digital paper!

Basket of Flowers

I love this basket and flowers from Unity Stamps February KOTM, I think it's just so pretty!  The papers are all scrap pieces from Cosmo Cricket, Echo Park and Fleurette Bloom digitals.  I colored the stamp in with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers, I love these markers!  The Trendy Twine used is Chocolate Cupcake, the pink and brown combo of this twine is so beautiful!

Friends Forever

Made this card for the Carta Bella True Friends challenge on Facebook.  This is such a pretty collection, kind of brings me back in time.  The little girl graphics are so sweet and so are all the other elements in the collection, perfect for that girlie project.  I added some Tickled Pink Trendy Twine and a cute little button.  This project was done on my Silhouette Cameo using the print n cut feature, love it for my digital collections!

Direction of Happy

No cutting files here!  I used the wood background and flowers stamps from Unity's February 2013 KOTM and the itty bitty Direction of Happy for this card.  I added some Trendy Twine Aqua Midnight, I really love this color and can't wait to pick up the Aqua Licorice that will be out tomorrow!

Unity's February Be Inspired Challenge

I'm determined to do the new Unity Be Inspired Challenges each month, since I receive their KOTM which I love it will remind me be use them more frequently.  I'm not really a stamper but I love these stamps and do enjoy incorporating them into my cutting machine projects.

For this card I used the November KOTM stamps, I just love these feathers and that Loving You sentiment is one of my favorites.  The stamped background I used the Blossom Stackers with versamark and clear embossing powder.  The paper is Carta Bella Traditions, it's just beautiful, I'm so happy I have this in digital, I definitely would be hoarding this stuff.  And for my touch of Trendy Twine I used Twisted Teal, it's so pretty!

Peace, Love and So Happy Together!

I am so lovin' this So Happy Together paper collection from Echo Park with this peace card from SVG Cuts Shaped Cards and Envelope kit.  Definitely a match made in heaven, makes me smile!  The elements are also from the collection, and I added a tad of Trendy Twine Valentine Cherry Cupcake.  I used the print n cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo to cut all the pieces out except for the card base.  Simple fun card that will make someones day!

Vintage Rose

This stamp is from Unity's December KOTM and so is the sentiment.  I just love anything vintage and this stamp set is all that.  I stamped it on watercolor paper with archival black ink and colored with my Distress Markers.  I wanted more of a distress look so I went around the edge very roughly with a versamark pen and embossed with gold.  I'm trying to use up some of my scraps so the paper came from my scrap pile, it's Echo Parks Victoria Gardens, I love it, never gets old!  The pretty Trendy Twine is Strawberry Cupcake.
