Simple Halloween Cards - Silhouette Cameo 4

Here are two super simple Halloween cards using files from Silhouette Design Store and cut out on my Cameo 4. I had a little trouble cutting this out my cuts were not clean very uneven, but I had done the update to 4.3.273. I had no trouble cutting with the last update 4.3.263 so I uninstalled and reinstalled the last one and was able to cut without a problem. I know they said this update fixed some of the uneven cutting people were getting but it cause it for me so I'm sticking with this version for now.

The buffalo plaid ghost and pumpkin are both Honeybee svg designs, to make the ghost only two layers selected the white and black layer and used a compound path, there was no way I was going to put all those white pieces together. The Happy Haunting is a Hero Arts file, I just added the bat and the Happy Halloween is from Kristen Magee, these are nice one-piece sentiments.

Frankenstein Treat Bag - First Silhouette Cameo 4 Project

Received my Cameo 4 today and I'm very happy with it. I was excited at first when I ordered it but then a little nervous when I heard about the software issue. I'm happy to say I had no problem setting it up, the Bluetooth paired, firmware updated and software version 4.3.263 works, so I'm very pleased. I wanted to test it out quickly so I put together this treat bag using a couple of files from the Silhouette Design Store and it cut beautifully and super fast. I have a Cricut Maker that I do love but I rather the silhouette studio software, I have the business edition so I design in ssbe, save as an svg and bring into design space to cut, so this will save me some steps.

Christmas Tree Card - Spellbinders

I can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by, next thing you know the kids will be back in school. I really haven't worked too much on craft projects this summer, but I did want to get at least one Christmas in July project accomplished. I used Spellbinder's June Small Die of the Month to create a Christmas tree along with some embellishments from the November 2018 Card Kit of the Month. There are so many things you can do with these dies, I think my next will be a try at a peacock.

Graduation Pocket Cards - Doodlebug Design Team Project

The hats off collection along with the pocket card from the dragon tails really came in handy for a bunch of gift card holders I had to make for an upcoming party. These definitely were a super easy and fun project to put together.

I adjusted the size of the pocket card and added two notches on the inside card to hold the gift card securely.

I added the bookworm to the congrats ribbon and print and cut the fronts out, this made it quick and easy to then assemble the pieces together.

Adding the crushed velvet belly band with some chunky twine dressed up these gift card holders. I used pop dots to adhere the ribbon to the pocket which holds down the flap along with the graduation clip.

Envelope Box Card - Doodlebug Design Team Project

For my Doodlebug project, I created a box card using the flower envelope cut file, (svg, silhouette) and paper from one of my favorite collections Hello. I've wanted to make this project for a while now, I just thought the flowers coming out of the envelope would make such a lovely 3d card.

I used Silhouette Studio and made adjustments so I could turn it into a box card. There is a front, middle and back panel, the liner is the middle which most of the flowers are glued onto, except the few on the front. I really love how it came out and it folds nicely so it can fit into an envelope.

The back has an oval cutout that the friend chit chat fits in, it's popped onto the middle panel. I created all the patterned paper layers using the internal offset in the software.

Hello Friend Card - Lori Whitlock Creative Team Project

I have a quick tutorial to share today using the A2 Shaped Card Kite file (svg, silhouette) and a sentiment from the Spring Easter Card Bundle from Lori Whitlock's shop. I used my Cricut Maker and Design Space to cut this project out.

I uploaded both files and ungrouped all I kept just the hello friends sentiment and deleted all the others and the layers.

I placed the sentiment on the cloud where I wanted it and select both and flattened, this creates a print and cut. I also selected the card base and score lines and clicked attach, this keeps them together, I did the same for the envelope.

I cut out all my pieces using Echo Park's Spring Fling paper collection and glued them all together.

Simply Spring Gift Set - Doodlebug Design Team Project

I love working with Doodlebug's cut files, they are absolutely the cutest and the Simply Spring collection is one of my all time favorites. It has pretty flowers, adorable kids and darling little bugs. The papers are wonderful, great designs and all the coordinating embellishments are simply delightful.

The bees (svg) are so sweet, though they both would make a great shaped card I chose the one with open wings for my gift set. I added some swimming pool twine, love matte sprinkles, a little flower from the may flowers sprinkles and a sticker from the this and that sheet.

I used a treat box from the silhouette store and made a cutout using the simply spring window flower box, (svg, silhouette). Instead of using the flowers in the cut file I replaced the with some may flowers sprinkles. I decorated the rest of the box using the icon stickers, chit chat, sunny sky clip, and bumblebee twine.
