Leaves Are Falling Snowglobe

This snowglobe card from SVGCuts kit Everyday Winter Cards is so cute, it's such a awesome shaker card.  I thought a fall theme for Thanksgiving would be adorable with leaves falling.  I used the Turkey from the Thankful Cuties with some leaves from the Autumn Elements collections
The stamp sentiment is a Punkin' Patch Stamp.
Paper is from My Mind's Eye's Miss Caroline Dolled Up collection.
The pretty blue and natural Trendy Twine is Sky.

Christmas Blessings

I love SVG Cuts new kit Home for the Holidays, the Pitcher with Flowers is just stunning, the Familty Tree Shadowbox makes a wonderful gift, the three Luminary Bags are lovely and can be used as decor or gift giving and the card is so elegant.

Here is my take on the card, when I first saw it I just pictured a winter scene with a beautiful red cardinal!

The card is so quick and simple to put together, I just love it.  The cardinal is from the Christmas Cookie Party collection, I use many pieces from this kit for different cards, to me it's a must have collection.  The Christmas Blessings is a Punkin' Patch Stamp from the Gingerbread Kisses set.  The Trendy Twine is Tickled with Teal which goes perfectly with Echo Parks Winter Wishes digital paper that I used.

The snow was made using the shaving cream and glue technique which I then sprinkled with glitter.  I cut the tree out in white and used a brown promarker to quickly color around the branches to give it a snowy look.

Don't forget to check out the new kit Home for the Holidays, you won't be disappointed, it's free this week with a purchase of $9.98, just use the promotional code FREEGIFT when you check out.

Tealight Card SVG File

I really love this tealight easel card, definitely a nice card to give at Christmas time.  I created a template to make it easier for people with a cutter to put it together, just add your own embellishments!!  I have the card layered, just ungroup it in eCals or right click the layer in MTC and click To Each Its Own.  The card base measures 11 x 4.25.

And just in case you didn't see how this card goes together in my other post, check out Dawn's video here.

Here is my Thanksgiving card I made for the Trendy Twine November Challenge using Orange Truffle Trendy Twine.  The Happy Thanksgiving, Gather Memories and Turkey stamps are Punkin' Patch Stamps and the Pumpkin Pie, Family, etc is a Unity Stamp, Pattern Paper is Echo Park's Fall Fever.

SVG File Here
If you do make it I would love to see, just leave me a comment with your card post!!

Santa Card From Christmas Open House

SVG Cuts new kit, Christmas Open House came out today, I love this Santa card that's in the kit it's so adorable.  It's perfect for the mixture of glue and shaving cream to create the fluff for all the white pieces which I finished with a touch of glitter!  I add the holly from the Christmas in the Village collection and the Believe is one of Punkin' Patch Stamps from the Gingerbread Kisses set.  Pattern paper is Carta Bella's Christmas Day and Twine is Christmas Candy Cane Trendy Twine, a must have for the holiday season!!

I mix about equal parts of white glue, (elmers, tacky glue, etc) and shaving cream, (not gel) and just spread it over the white pieces and then sprinkle with some white glitter.  Just to add, I put the mixture on the pieces first and then glued them on, but I have also glued pieces first and then added the mixture so both ways work.

Here is the rest of the kit, I love the snowman, isn't he so cute!!

Fall Cards Even With No Power!!

So being without power all week I decided yesterday to go up to my craft room and make something while I still had light.  Here are a couple of cards I produced without my cutting machine, three simple fall cards.

The three bottle caps I used are from Empty Nester Crafts aren't they cute, and I've seen some of Tracy's Christmas ones and they are just adorable!!

The first two cards I used stamps from Punkin' Patch Stamps and the last card the pumpkin and sentiment is from Unity Stamps!  I colored the pumpkin with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.

Twine used, Orange Truffle (Thanksgiving) and Orangesicle Trendy Twine.  All the pattern paper I used are scrap pieces, I really need to get this huge pile I have down!!

A Winter's Twist

This card is from SVG Cuts new kit Miss Baker's Classroom, but instead of using it as a schoolhouse I thought it would make a pretty white country church in winter to use as a Christmas card.  All I did was cut everything in white and gray instead of the traditional school house colors.  The snow is created using a mixture of shaving cream and white glue.  Less glue the shaving cream will stay more puffed, more it's not as puffy when it dries.   The stamp is from Punkin' Patch Stamps O Holy Night set.

Supplies Used
SVG Cuts Miss Baker's Classroom Kit - church card (schoolhouse card)
Punkin' Patch Stamps - O Holy Night - rejoice sentiment

The Witching Hour

Though I always focus more on my die cutting I have to say I just love my Punkin' Patch stamps too!!  They are nicely made stamps which produce a very clear image.  They cling perfectly to the block and to their cling sheet, I've had trouble with other brands of stamps not clinging good at all which results in a smudged image.  What's great is SVG Cuts incorporates the stamps into some of their kits and they also have free stampables you can download and cut with your machine.  I like to create a shadow layer for them to give them that added pop, they really come out great!

I just received a couple more sets and I LOVE them!!  I was playing around and made some background paper from the Little Monsters set and then used a couple from the Witching Hour to finish off the card, so much fun!

My First ATC

I just made my first ATC, (Artist Trading Card), I totally loved making it.  It was so quick and easy to put together and I didn't have to worry about an inside, so I think I will be making many of these.  The measurements of an ATC is 3 1/2 x 2 1/2, they are perfect for swaps, which is why I made this one.  I joined a swap over at SVG Cuts Facebook Forum page so I wanted to make a practice one just to see how small the piece will be.  Speaking of small pieces that spider is so tiny and it cut beautifully on my Sizzix Eclips, I just love this machine so much!

I made my own background paper using the Little Monsters set from Punkin' Patch Stamps, I just love their stamps.  All svgs are from SVG Cuts, and the face is a Peachy Keen Stamp.

Mother's Day Card

This card was made using the pieces from the simple mom card in the new kit Mother's Garden over at SVGCuts.  I used the same dimensions of the card but turned it into an easel and added other elements from the kit.  The roman shade is made using the panel piece and scored to create the folds.  The stamp is from Punkin' Patch Stamps, Bunnies and Blossoms.

Once Upon A Springtime

You must check out Mary's new kit Mother's Garden, over at SVGCuts, it's a winner, I totally love it!  I just got back from Lake Placid and I was thinking about this card on the car ride down.  I can't wait to make some of the other projects in the kit, the watering cans are just adorable and that box is going to really come in handy!  Stamp is from Punkin' Patch Stamps, Bunnies and Blossoms.

A Celtic Valentine's Day Card

If you haven't seen SVGCuts new collection Celtic Knots and Clovers, you need to take a look especially with St. Patricks Day coming around the corner.  I thought the Celtic heart would make an awesome Valentine's Day card and the Colleen Knot would be perfect to use for a Buckle Card.  I made the card in Make the Cut, and used the clovers from the collection for the inside layer cutouts. The border trim is from their Strawberry Lane Collection.  The LUV YA stamp is from Punkin' Patch's new set, All You Need Is Love.  The pattern paper is Echo Park Yours Truly digital paper printed with my new Epson Photo 1400, which I love!!

Here is the card opened ready for some Valentine Love!!

Holiday Traditions

I'm starting my Christmas Cards and I really like the panel look with the different pattern paper, so I used the ribbon svgs from SVGCuts Christmas Cookie Party Collection, in fact all the cuts on this card are from that kit, even the buttons. The stamp is from Punkin' Patch Holiday Traditions stamp set.

Heirloom Traditions

I'm not sure where I downloaded this tree from, but I just love it. I joined the leaves together in make the cut and made a stencil out of them, so I could use distress inks to create this autumn look. I really like how it came out. The stamp is from Punkin Patch's Heirloom Traditions set, I scanned and brought it into make the cut so I could have a shape of the stamp and also a background shape.

BOO-tiful Night

This card is a little bit of everything and it all goes. The card itself and the cuts are from SVGCut's Haunted Hemlock Cards kit. The pumpkin stamp is from Punkin' Patch, Autumn Air set, and the Boo-tiful stamp is from My Thoughts Exactly, Fright Night Phrases. The faces on both pumpkins and the ghost are peachy keen face stamps. Background paper is EP Apothecary Add-On digital paper pack, you can get it here, http://www.jessicasprague.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tabs.tpl&product_id=1602&category_id=69&keyword=Apothecary&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=365. I really love this paper line, I bought the other two packs also, just couldn't resist!!
