Hello Collection Gift Set for Mother's Day - Doodlebug Design Team Project

Doodlebug's Hello is a beautiful versatile collection that has bright bold colors with touches of gold foil. The mixture of icons in this collection makes it perfect for any occasion especially for Mother's Day.

There are so many gorgeous icons in this collection it made it very hard to choose what I was going to use for this Mother's Day gift set, but in the end I couldn't resist using the beautiful flowers.

The main focal point of the hat, which is a cut file from Dreaming Tree, is the pink poppy doodle-pop flower, it's gorgeous and I love the gold foil in the leaves! The two sheets of paper used from the 12 x 12 pack are called beautiful blooms and tickled pink.

Here's a photo of the hat opened, you can put some treats inside, which is what I'm going to do. The adorable little bird is from the hello jelly clips, the sweet sentiment is from the this & that sticker sheet and butterfly from the icon stickers.

The base is from the hello card and envelope assortment pack, I added a strip from the this & that sticker sheet and a cut piece of the beautiful blooms. I layered flowers from the odds & ends pack and some from the icon stickers along with some other stickers from the sheet. For the mom I used the bubblegum teensy type stickers.

Have a Happy Mother's Day!

Lori Whitlock April 2018 Blog Hop

Hello everyone, welcome to Lori Whitlock's Creative Team Blog Hop.
Since Mother's Day is next month I thought I'd get a jump on my card, so I used the Box Cards Mother's Day Violets file to create my card.

I cut out some burlap using my Cricut Maker for the bottom layers of the carton, it cut perfectly with the rotary blade, love it!

Cascade Mother's Day Card - Dreaming Tree

Dreaming Tree came out with a new bundle this week, Cascade Cards.  Three beautiful cards come in the bundle designed for a wedding but can be used for so many occasions.  I made the Lily Card for Mother's Day and I love how it came out.

I doubled up the flowers and added a solid darker one behind to give it some shadows and cut out the background ones in green for leaves.  The paper is from Michael's, not sure of the name and the sentiment is from My Creative Time's Love You Bunches set.

Happy Mama's Day - My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday

Hi everyone!
It's Inspire Me Wednesday over at the MCT's blog.
My inspiration for today's project came from a video by Dawn from Wplus9 Design.
She created an Inlaid Balloon card, you can watch her video here.

It's such a cool technique, kind of like a puzzle and I love how you can see both the outer and inner stitching of the die cuts when you use this technique.  Basically you are cutting out on your background paper coloring and putting your cuts back in.  Definitely watch Dawn's video!!

Here's a closer look, the flowers, clouds and grass are all cutout colored and put back in, just the label with sentiment, button and butterfly are not inlaid.  The stems and leaves are all stamped, just added some dots with marker, really enjoyed putting this card together!

Dearest Mom

Mother's Day is just around the corner and this flower pot card from SVGCuts is simply perfect.  The kit is a single card with a bunch of flowers and the banner, I combined two of the flowers to make these.  I also popped some little white ones in the back to fill in some of the spaces.  The digital paper I used is Echo Parks Mini Theme Dearest and I also used some Posy Trendy Twine.

Tea For Mom

I've never made the teapot shaped card from SVGCuts Chamomile Friendship Cards, I absolutely love it.  Shape cards are one of my favorites to make and I think this one is definitely in my top ten.  All the cuts are from the kit, except the leaves I cut them myself, thought it needed a little something there.  I used the paper from Echo Park's Sisters Mini Theme, just perfect for this teapot and some Trendy Twine Posy.

Mother's Day Card

This card was made using the pieces from the simple mom card in the new kit Mother's Garden over at SVGCuts.  I used the same dimensions of the card but turned it into an easel and added other elements from the kit.  The roman shade is made using the panel piece and scored to create the folds.  The stamp is from Punkin' Patch Stamps, Bunnies and Blossoms.

Vintage Mother's Day Card

Hi everyone, here is a card I made for Mother's Day. I used a card from A Child's Year cartridge and welded the three butterflies from Straight From The Nest cartridge to have a cutout. I decorated the inside of the card so you would see it through the butterflies.

The scalloped circle is from SFTN , I used perfect pearls on the trim and around the cutout of the butterflies. I stamped the lavender.

I used a script stamp, (Inkadinkado, Letter), with versamark and perfect pearls for the background and the lavender is a stamp from Stampin Up's Elements of Style stamp set, I used it on the front also.

Mother's Day

Hi everyone, Here is a card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. I used Sweet Treats for the flower and A Child's Year for the stem. The face is stamped with Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face stamp. I used UTEE on the flower and leaves to look like dew.
