I have a quick and easy treat for you made from some DCWV burlap paper.

I used the Stitched Treat Sleeve Die along with the Stitched Belly Band Dies and the Belly Band Sentiments to create this project, super simple!

Sunburst Card - My Creative Time Tutorial Thursday

Hi Everyone!

I have a really quick and easy tutorial for you today using a couple of dies from My Creative Time.  I love these sunburst cards using scrap paper but I hate measuring out the pieces, plus I like the stitching all around each piece.

I used two sets to create this sunburst backgrount, the More Stitched Rectangular Dies and the More Stitched Edges, both of these sets are a must have!

I started by cutting out 6 pieces using the third largest die in the Rectangular set.  These are all scraps I had from the same paper pad, bought from Michaels a long time ago.

I took the straight stitched edge die and cut each rectangular piece diagonally.  I wasn't precise at all with my cutting, just eyeballed it.  Using this die gave me stitching on both sides of the cut!

I cut the largest rectangular die out of white cardstock and used my tape gun to put strips of tape down vertically and horizontally.  Start adding the pieces, you'll need 11 of them.

You can see that the center isn't perfect and it doesn't have to be it will be covered, just make sure your pieces touch each other.  I didn't press down so I could move some of my pieces until they lined up nicely.

I ran the piece through my die cut machine with the largest rectangular die.  You don't have to line it up with the bottom piece, that's just for the pattern pieces to be glued to.

Happy Mama's Day - My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday

Hi everyone!

It's Inspire Me Wednesday over at the MCT's blog.

My inspiration for today's project came from a video by Dawn from Wplus9 Design.

She created an Inlaid Balloon card, you can watch her video here.

It's such a cool technique, kind of like a puzzle and I love how you can see both the outer and inner stitching of the die cuts when you use this technique.  Basically you are cutting out on your background paper coloring and putting your cuts back in.  Definitely watch Dawn's video!!

Here's a closer look, the flowers, clouds and grass are all cutout colored and put back in, just the label with sentiment, button and butterfly are not inlaid.  The stems and leaves are all stamped, just added some dots with marker, really enjoyed putting this card together!

This die coordinates with the Stitched 3 x 4 Journal Die.  I used some gold foil poster board I was lucky enough to get at the dollar store, it's so pretty!

Sweet Valentine - My Creative Time's What A Treat Wednesday

Hi everyone!!

It's What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time today

and I have a quick and easy project to share with you.

This Hershey Nugget Slider Box for Valentine's Day!!

I love this treat box, so quick and easy to put together!!  I used the the small love heart layer and made the cutout in the box, put some acetate on the back.  I cut another heart out of red cardstock and glued it on top of the acetate, than assembled the box.  For the candy wrappers I stamped the striped background with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Since the pattern paper was a little busy, I thought the strip was a subtle touch.

Love You - My Creative Time's Favorite Stamp/Die of the Month

Hi everyone!!

I have a card to share today using My Creative Time's

Die of the Month, the Teeny Tags Layering Dies!

This sale will end on January 31, 2015 @ 12:00 am PST!

This die set is great for cards, treat boxes or bags.  I used it with a sentiment from the Lost At Sea Stamp Set, the fish and wave stamps, porthole and 3" circle die are all from this set. 

I used the 2 3/4" circle die from the Bunch of Fun Circle Die set for the background of the porthole, stamped the fishes and waves and colored them.  I masked them off with rubber cement glue, if you never tried this it works great, here's a video by Jennifer Mcguire showing how to do it, totally brilliant!!  For the water look I used some versamark and UTEE, (ultra thick embossing enamel).

It's Day 3 of My Creative Time's 39th Release!!

The Last Pieces of Our Family Stamps & Stitched Puzzle Pieces Dies

You are going to love these puzzle pieces!!

I first stamped and embossed the cardbase using the Family is Everything set.  On the white cardstock I stamped the Love Collage Background, (this stamp is still available but will be retired after they are gone), with versamark and dusted with perfect pearls, it really looks so pretty in person.  Diecut that piece with one of the Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies and More and used the new die puzzle pieces  to make cut outs around the cardstock.  I stamped and embossed the black cardstock using the Stripey Background Stamp.  On the new heart puzzle pieces I stamped and embossed one of the 2x2 backgrounds from the Build A Banner set and the sentiment from the new set is stamped onto one of the Stitched Decorative Banners.  Believe me this card was much quicker to make than me typing this all out, lol!!  I really love creating backgrounds from the stamps and dies, so much fun!!

I'm so excited to share with you today some sneak peeks of

My first project is a tag...

Here I used the new Bear Dies that goes with the Beary Special Thoughts Stamp Set, the sentiment is also from this set.  I'm so happy there are dies now to cut these bears out!  For that textured background on the blocks I used one of the Build a Banner stamps and embossed, this stamp is perfect for adding that textured look to your diecuts.

My second product is a cute little 3"x3" valentine card...
