Lori Whitlock May 2022 Creative Team Blog Hop - Summer Pail Card

Hello there, and welcome to our May Blog Hop! Seeing Echo Park's Endless Summer collection I knew I wanted to make a summer card for this hop. Here in New York it's been a long cold winter and all I am thinking about is hot sunny weather, so beach and boat days! I used the Pail Shaped Card from the Beach Set,(SVG, Silhouette) and used paper and stickers from the paper collection.

Starfish - We R Memory Keepers Mold Press

It's been such a long time since I created a project, felt good to be back in my craft room making something. I ordered the new WRMK Mold Press from HSN thought a new toy would get me back in the swing of things again. I bought it mostly to create my own shaker cards but I think it will be fun to make some molds for chocolates for my grandkids. I have to say it's pretty cool but I really need to practice with it to get the plastic droop correct for a good mold around the object. The first thing I molded was a starfish that I made this shaker card from.

After molding it I traced the starfish and scanned it into my Brother Scan and Cut so I could cut out the card to place over the mold to create my shaker, not bad for a quick shaker. I'm looking forward to learning and making more with the Mold Press.

Summer Shaped Cards - Lori Whitlock Creative Team Project

Hello there, I have a couple of summer shaped cards to share with you today from Lori Whitlock's summer card bundle set which has a total of 8 shaped cards.

You can also get these individually from Lori's store, shaped card popsicle, shaped card pineapple and shaped card watermelon, or from the Silhouette Design Store, popsicle, pineapple and watermelon.

These were super quick, easy and fun to cut out and put together, just added a couple of simple embellishments.

All the cards were cut out and sentiments printed and cut using Cricut Design Space and my Cricut Maker.

Patterned paper and cardstock used is all from Doodlebug Design.

Sweet Summer Lemonade Gift Set - Doodlebug Design Team Project

Here's a fun gift set I created using Doodlebug Design's Sweet Summer paper collection and embellishments along with some of the svg files you can get at Lori Whitlock's shop or Silhouette Design Store.

Since lemonade is one of my favorite summer drinks I just had to make a box card using the lemonade stand svg file and a matching box using the lemon slice.

The box card was easily created by welding some of the pieces together to form the box. I like to do all my designing in silhouette studio business edition and saving as an svg so I can import it into cricut design space and cut it out on my Cricut Maker.

You can see the dimension in the photo above. There are two inside pieces for the pitcher and glass and a back panel for the speech bubble and tree. Embellishments used from mini icon sticker sheet, this & that stickers, fun fruit shape sprinkles, odds & ends and chit chat pack. Patterned paper used, coconut grove, catching a wave and happy hour 12 x 12 sheets.

The box was super simple I used the 3.5" circle box from Lori's shop, I cut it down a little because I wanted a thinner box, then sized the lemon slice to fit the top.

The box is embellished with a chit chat speech bubble, fun fruit shape sprinkle, flower from the odds & ends and summer assortment sprinkles. Cardstock used, sunshine textured and lemon gingham and to finish it some swimming pool twine.

Hope you enjoyed this gift set, have a wonderful day!

Sweet Summer Gift Set - Doodlebug Design Team Project

Doodlebug Design's Sweet Summer collection is filled with so many wonderful beachy icons it makes it so easy to put together an adorable summertime project.

Along with the sweet summer paper collection I used some of the svg cut files, you can get these individually or in a set from Lori Whitlock's shop. Most of the paper used is from the 12 x 12 sweet summer collection pack, also used lily white, chocolate chip textured cardstock, bumblebee and maple and gingham-linen petite print.

I used Lori Whitlock's sand pail shaped box file but the shovel and sand are from the sweet summer sand pail svg. The face on the shovel just made the box that much cuter and so did the summer sprinkles used for the cheeks. For the pail handle, I used a border from the punch plaid sheet and tied the shovel around it with some tangerine chunky twine. The boombox and cassettes are from the icon sticker sheet and the speech bubble from the chit chat pack.

I made the shaped card using the sweet summer bikini svg filling in the middle section and adding an outline layer and welding them together. The two little cassettes and music note are from the boom box doodle-pop, glasses, and flower from the icon sticker sheet and speech bubble from the chit chat pack. I think it made such a cute card.

Here's a couple of shaped cards I made using some of the cut files from Doodlebug's Sweet Summer collection. Most of the papers used are also from the Sweet Summer 12 x 12 collection pack and a sheet of limeade gingham-linen petite print, strawberry, blush and swimming pool textured cardstock.

A beach bag gift card holder with a flower, a couple of tropical punch sprinkles and a sentiment from the chit chat pack.

Beach ball shaped card, speech bubble from the chit chat pack, couple of sprinkles from the summer assortment, swimming pool twine and a swimming pool boutique button.

Watermelon shaped card with flowers, speech bubble from the chit chat pack, summer assortment sprinkles and limeade twine.

Sweet Friend - My Creative Time 3D Wednesday

Hello everyone, here's my MCT project I made for 3D Wednesday.  I've seen this project a bunch of times on pinterest and just loved it and had to make one for myself using MCT products.

I used the stitched favor box die cutting it out twice from green and pink paper and cutting off the opposite sides of each.  For the rind I used one of the mad for plaid stripes and the water drops from the showers of happiness set for the pits.  The sentiment is from the teeny tag greetings and I used the new scalloped stitched circles for the tag.

Hope you've enjoyed this project, hope you have a wonderful day!

Sunshine - My Creative Time Inspire Me Wednesday

It's Inspire Me Wednesday at My Creative Time and I have a card to share with you.  My inspiration came from Jennifer Rzasa's beautiful card that I absolutely fell in love with, hop on over and take a look at hers here.  I adore the Build A Sunray set and that's why I was so drawn to Jennifer's card.

I kept my card basically the same just using MCT products.  The sentiment is also from the Build A Sunray set and the sun and clouds is from You Are My Sunshine set.  I added a one of the circles from the More Stitched Circles dies behind the sun and cut out the card layer with the Stitched Rectangular Frames and More die.

My Creative Time's 54th Release Sneak Peek Day 2

Welcome back to another day of Sneaks!
Today we are showcasing the stamps and die set
You Are My Sunshine

This is a fun set with lovely sentiments, since it has rain and shine elements I chose to use both by splitting the paper and doing the rain on one side and sun on the other with a rainbow background.  The curve and cloud dies from the More Stitched Edges I used as templates to create the rainbow and for the cloud background.  On both I used some distress ink, the raindrops I stamped with versamark and embossed with white powder.  Both the cloud and sun are cut out of some glitter foam board.
