Camera Treat Cup Card - Lori Whitlock Creative Team Project

Hello, I have a Lori Whitlock project tutorial to share with you today. I made this cute camera treat cup card using two files from Lori's shop, looks like a lot of steps but very simple to put together.

This was such a fun project to make and can be used for any card to add some yummy treats.

I started with the heart shaped box with window from Lori's shop, you can get it from the Silhouette Design Store here.

I ungrouped and deleted all except these three pieces.

Zooming in real close I aligned these two pieces along the score marks. I wanted one piece instead of two since the heart box will be sized smaller.

Selecting both I replicated and mirrored above and moved the two on the top  a couple of arrow clicks down. Depending on how wide you want the box you can move this as much as you want.

I selected all the pieces, welded and grouped them all together, I then grouped with the heart.

Next, I worked on the camera, I used the one from the travel icons set, you can get it here also from the Silhouette Design Store. I put it together on my mat and resized it to about 5.5". Two of the pieces I didn't use so I deleted them.

Now I took the heart box and resized both pieces together so the heart fits inside the circle. I made a duplicate of the heart and ungrouped to just use the bigger layer, this is what I used to make the heart cutout from the camera pieces.

I duplicated the whole camera and did a subtract all, I did this a couple of times deleting what pieces I had already made cutouts from.

As you can see, I ended up with all these pieces. the upper right piece is just a duplicate of the camera with the top cut off, that will go inside the card to hold the slider.

The slider is just a square and two rounded squares welded together. You just have to make sure it covers the heart opening and is smaller than the extra piece that goes inside.

I replicated and mirror left the camera bottom layer with the heart cutout, moved it one arrow click over and welded to create my card base. I did a release to get rid of the heart cutout on the left side which would be the back of the card.

Here's the box pieces cutout, I molded the side a little and used score tape which made it quick and easy to put together.

The pink and white layers should slide right over and glue to the bottom tabs, just make sure the tabs are going out and not in.

The inside piece for the slider just needs tape around three sides so the slider can move in and out.

As you can see I filled the cup with m&m's and pushed the slider in.

Here's a closer look at the card, it's a little front heavy so it doesn't stand very well with the candy inside but it's super cute. Paper used is Doodlebug's Cream & Sugar.

Cuddly Spider Sweet Treat

I've had the Stampin' Up Sweet Treat Cups since last year and have never used them. I thought the Spider from SVGCuts.com Halloween Cuddly Characters would be wonderful to use with them. I joined a 1.75" circle with his body using Make the Cut to get the cutout for the sweet treat cup. I cutout two of the body, head and hat, to make it sturdier and also to create a slide in the back of the body to get the candy out. I glued a string between the two hat pieces so it can be hung as a decoration.

Here is the back with the slider piece that can be pulled to get the candy out.

Batty Pop

I seen these cute lollipop butterflies at skiptomylou.org, and I thought they would be so adorable using the Halloween Cuddly Friends from SVGCuts.com for halloween. I used the bat wings, body, feet , ears and fangs from the kit, and put some wiggly eyes on, I think it came out so cute. These are very quick and easy to put together, I used Make the Cut to put two slits in the body but you can use a craft knife. I glued the middle of the body together and stamped Happy Halloween and covered the little piece of the stick, the lollipop slides right out.

Cuddly Friends Treat Holder

I love the Cuddly Friends Collection over at SVGCuts.com especially the Halloween characters. I already made a popup candy holder card, but I seen this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFAIcwstmv0&feature=player_embedded and thought the cuddly friends would look so cute on there so I created this mtc and svg file to use with them and to give out to the kids at Halloween. I resized all the character pieces in Make the Cut to 4.5 high, make sure you lock aspect ratio. If you follow the video you should have no trouble assembling it.

As you can see the head is placed on the top flap.

And the body on the inside.

Halloween Candy Treat Holder

I made this treat holder last year with my cricut using the October 31st cartridge. I loved how it came out and it was a big hit around here.

So when I saw the Halloween Cuddly Friends Collection over at SVGCuts, I thought they would be so cute to use with the treat holder. I made this one using Frankenstein, what an adorable collection this is and a must have for Halloween.

Here is the treat holder closed with a belly band around it. Take it off and pull Frankenstein by his head...

And he pops up holding a candy treat, now that would put a smile on any child's face!!

I made Frankenstein and his pieces 4.5" high, I welded a 1" rectangle to the bottom of his body in Make the Cut so I could attach him to the 1" flaps that folds in on the bottom. I cut a pen spring in half and glued them to the feet and then onto the body, the candy bar tucks right in between the feet and body. I put a little tacky glue on the folds at the top of the box so when it opens it sticks to the 1" flap at the bottom.

Here is a link, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/freestandingpopupcard/ of a card showing how to put the box together, same idea except the cut out is bigger for the card to fit through.

I added two files of the box that holds the cuddly friend, it's very easy to put together, just fold on the score lines and the two end flaps are glued together to form the box, but before you do that the character slides in between and is held by the flaps.

Of course if you want the cute Halloween friends you can get them at SVGCuts

October 31st Candy Treat Card & Gypsy File

Hi everyone, I haven't used any of the fall mini's yet so I just love Halloween and wanted to check out the October 31st Cartridge. There are some great Halloween cuts on this cartridge, I made this candy holder card using the same technique as the Free Standing Pop-Up Card you can find here from Splitcoaststampsers, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/freestandingpopupcard/, I just made the cut out bigger so the candy can pop through. I have a gypsy file for it, since the cartridge doesn't have a blackout feature I just copied and used the hide contour on the gypsy and also used circles to block out what I couldn't hide. You need to use a sturdy cardstock and I also cut out the arm with cereal box so it would be able to hold the candy. You can also cut out the paper layers in cereal box and line the inside of the card to make it sturdier. I also trimmed the arm to fit the card. I so wished I had some Halloween paper in, it would have been cuter. Here is the gypsy file: http://www.mediafire.com/?34m5zz139a6s2rk
