Icing On My Cupcake- SVG Cutting File's Birthday Theme Challenge

Hi Everyone!!
A new challenged started at SVG Cutting Files today,

Create a birthday themed project using a file from SVG Cutting Files as your main focus.

Guidelines
1. Your project must be new.
2. Link your project by 4/14/15 at the blog or
at our Facebook Group's Birthday Challenge Album, HERE.
3. Winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to SVG Cutting Files.

I used one of the cupcakes from the Build a Cupcake set and made it into a shaped card.
The eyes and mouth I made real quick in SSDE, everything was cutout with my Cricut Explore.
Sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Hey Cupcake set and the tag die is from the Mini Tag Dies.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas!

Hi Everyone!!
I have a pretty Christmas card to share
using a couple of files from SVG Cutting Files.

Every time I looked at the Fancy Label Card Base it reminded me of a barrel.
So I duplicated the top layer and cut two pieces to form the
light tan layers on the top and bottom of the barrel.
Duplicating that layer again I cut stripes 1/2" apart to make it look like a barrel.
I have an older version of Silhouette Studio Designer Edition so I used that to design and then saved it as an svg and cut it all out on my Cricut Explore, which I really love!!
I stamped all the wood looking pieces with Heidi Swapp's Woodgrain Background Stamp.
For the 3D Poinsettias I colored with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
The Stamped Sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Christmas Wishes
and the die is from their Mini Tag Dies 2 set.
A little button and some Trendy Twine Limeade finished up the project!

Owl Christmas Card - New Cricut Explore

Hi Everyone!!  I was one of the lucky people who picked up the Cricut Explore with a 60% coupon from Joann's.  They made a huge mistake letting the coupon apply so I got it for $119, can't beat that.  I really wasn't looking to pick one up since I have my Silhouette Cameo but for that price I couldn't pass it up.

Here's a quick card I made with it, Design Space is very easy to use, but it's nothing like Make the Cute or Silhouette Studio, luckily I have the 1.9 version of SSDE on my computer so I can save my designs as svgs and import them into design space to cut.  I'll be able to use my silhouette files which I'm very happy about, I imported some of these cuts from the Silhouette Store.  So far I like how the Explore cuts and it's much quieter than my cameo.  It also came with a bluetooth adapter so I used my Surface Pro 3, it worked great, really love that.  More come as I find time to play!!
