Sunburst Card - My Creative Time Tutorial Thursday

Hi Everyone!
I have a really quick and easy tutorial for you today using a couple of dies from My Creative Time.  I love these sunburst cards using scrap paper but I hate measuring out the pieces, plus I like the stitching all around each piece.

I used two sets to create this sunburst backgrount, the More Stitched Rectangular Dies and the More Stitched Edges, both of these sets are a must have!

I started by cutting out 6 pieces using the third largest die in the Rectangular set.  These are all scraps I had from the same paper pad, bought from Michaels a long time ago.

I took the straight stitched edge die and cut each rectangular piece diagonally.  I wasn't precise at all with my cutting, just eyeballed it.  Using this die gave me stitching on both sides of the cut!

I cut the largest rectangular die out of white cardstock and used my tape gun to put strips of tape down vertically and horizontally.  Start adding the pieces, you'll need 11 of them.

You can see that the center isn't perfect and it doesn't have to be it will be covered, just make sure your pieces touch each other.  I didn't press down so I could move some of my pieces until they lined up nicely.

I ran the piece through my die cut machine with the largest rectangular die.  You don't have to line it up with the bottom piece, that's just for the pattern pieces to be glued to.

To My Best Peep - My Creative Time What A Treat Wednesday

Hi everyone! Welcome to MCT What a Treat Wednesday!
I have a cute little Easter treat to share using the Milk Carton Die.

I used one of the Oval Dies to make a cutout window.  I filled the box with some chocolate eggs and a pink bunny peep.  Of course I had to use one of the cute peep sentiments from the To A Cute Little Chick set stamped on one of the Vintage stitched Label dies.

Easter Basket

I just loved the adorable Slatted Basket that Betty Traciak made at Splitcoaststampers, what a great little Easter basket!  I don't like to make too many things like this without using my cutting machine so I made this svg cutting file.  I'm planning on making a bunch so this will save me so much time.

I welded all the slot pieces so that it's one piece, just line up the basket and the slots fit under the flaps perfectly.  I also added slits on two sides so the handle can slide in between the flap.  This is a pretty sturdy basket, really love that.  The designer paper is Carta Bella's Baby Mine Girl and the sentiment and diecut label are both from My Creative Time.  This is super simple to put together.  I cut it out on my Brother ScanNCut2 but it should cut fine on other machines.
