Baby Gift Card Holder - Doodlebug Design

I thought the vest svg from Doodlebug's Snips & Snails collection would make a cute gift card holder using one side for the card to slide into.  I wanted a shirt for the inside so I used the onesie and removed the v neck.  I also wanted a bow tie so I welded together two toe pieces from the booties and a rounded square, really came out pretty good!

The buttons and sequins are all from Doodlebug and The striped paper is from the Spring Things collection.  The bow tie paper is from rainbow gingham-linen petite 6 x 6 pad.

Both sentiments are from My Creative Time's Hello Baby set.  I used some pop dots to hold down the flap that the gift card slides into and the other flap tucks nicely under the bow tie to hold it closed.

You can find Doodlebug cut files for the Silhouette Cameo here.

It's A Boy Shaped Card - Doodlebug Design

Hello there!
I have a cute card to share using some of the new
Doodlebug Design's Snips & Snails cut files that are in the
Silhouette Design Store and soon to be in Lori Whitlock's Store.

The overalls makes such a cute shaped card for a baby announcement or birthday card.  In true lil' boy fashion I had to add some things coming out of the pockets including the wrinkled note falling out after a long day of play!

The stamped sentiment is from My Creative Time's Hello Baby Stamp Set.

The Designer Paper I used are from Doodlebug's Petite Print packs, love these papers!

Baby Shower Umbrella Treat Centerpiece - Dreaming Tree

I've wanted to make this project since the Dreaming Tree release the
Daffodilly Spring SVG Bundle.  I absolutely love all three of the projects in this bundle, which also can be bought separately.  My Son and Daughter in law are having a baby boy so this is perfect!

I left off the top of the Egg to make it look more like an umbrella and just used the daffodil inside as the handle and added a blue bow.  I didn't join the rosette together, I left a hole in the center so I could glue the umbrella tilted, it sat better this way.

The paper collection I used is an older one by Carta Bella Paper Baby Mine Boy, it's so cute.

That's My Boy

This cute Toolbox is one of Lori Whitlock files, I love it, it goes together perfectly and really not many pieces, my kind of project.

The paper and elements are from Echo Parks Bundle of Joy Boy collection, how cute is that giraffe and lion.  I used Trendy Twine Tickled with Teal which goes perfecty with his collection.  I put some cookies inside but it would look so cute with some baby items for a shower.

Baby's 1st Birthday

I just got back from our vacation down in Charleston, SC, we had such a wonderful time.  My son Rory went to the College of Charleston and we fell in love with it, we hadn't been back since he graduated in 2008.  This collection Wild Child from SVG Cuts came out while we were vacationing, I think it's just adorable!  I couldn't wait and make this baby's 1st birthday card using the elephant, isn't he so cute!!  I also used the Birthday Elements and My Happy Garden Hideaway Collections.  I did a print n cut using ecals software with the eyes which I made and the Baby's 1st Birthday.

Noah's Ark

This is my third entry for the Spring Challenge over at SVGCut's facebook page.  You had to use something from one of their spring kits or collections so I used the egg from the Poplar Street Tulips kit to make my ark and one of the birdhouses from the Spring Birdhouses kit for the house on top.  In person the ark truly looks like wood and it's very sturdy.  It would make a great centerpiece for a baby shower or a kids birthday.  I put some candy in mine as the lid comes off and the little cuddly animals are glued on.

For the wood look, I embossed paper with the distress embossing folder and cut it to 1/2" strips and inked each piece.  I applied each paper strip onto the egg all around and used a marker for the nail marks.  I did the same to the floor, inside of the ark and the house.  The animals are from the Cuddle Animals I & II collections and the Tropical Friends Collections.  The door and windows are from the Strawberry Lane Collection.  The waves and rainbow are both free files from SVGCut's Blog.

Here is the candy inside with the lid off.

Scrappy Elephant

Hi everyone, Here is another patchwork I made with scraps. I used a 1" square punch this time. I punched out 5 different patterns of about 5 pieces each. The elephant is from the New Arrival cartridge, it's so cute!! With a white gel pen I stitched around each piece and put a pair of wiggle eyes on, then mounted him on a shadow cut. I love how the patchwork comes out.

CAC Jungle Book

Hi everyone, I finished my first big project with my new gypsy. I made this Animal Jungle Book using Create a Critter and Plantin Schoolbook and I have to say I love my gypsy. Anyone that is on the fence about getting one well I highly recommend it. The book is for my niece who is having her first baby and her theme of course is jungle animals. I'm adding both the gypsy and design studio files for the book if you would like to download them. The Paper I used is DCWV Animal Crackers, perfect for this book.

Paisley Carousel Horse

I made this card for this weeks Cricut Cartridge Challenge, here is the link, http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=6397810. This week the cartridge is Paisley. so all my cuts are from that cartridge. I embossed the background with the cuttlebug folder Birds and Swirls. I used perfect pearls on the horse, butterfly and the white ruffle under the umbrella. I used ms glitter on the mane, tail and hooves. Here is the cut file, http://www.mediafire.com/?didv1td0goj

Riley Mae Wordbook

I created this wordbook for my Niece, Jen who is having a baby girl, Riley Mae, in December. I used Plantin Schoolbook, Storybook and the New Arrival's Cartridge. I really enjoyed making this wordbook. Can't wait to start on my other Niece, Shawna, who is also having a baby girl in February.

Jen's Baby Shower Gift

I got this stork design with receiving blanket from PeggyGugliotti on the cricut message board, she made with a bundle of diapers and it was adorable. Instead of diapers I used some of the presents I bought. The stork is from the New Arrivals Cartridge.

This card was also made with the New Arrival's Cartridge
