Bedroom Door Sign with Action Wobbles - Carta Bella Design Team Project

Hi everyone!!  It’s Brigit sharing a bedroom door sign using the Boy Oh Boy paper collection. This paper is so cute the bright patterns are just fabulous and those monsters are simply adorable!! I picked up a pack of Action Wobbles and thought it would be so cute to put them on the two larger monsters for some interactive fun!

To make the Action Wobble sturdier:

1. I used some powder on the back of the monster to get rid of the stickiness.

2. I traced around onto a piece of cereal box, (easier to cut then chipboard) and then cut it out.

3. Glued the monster onto the cutout and trimmed a little off of the action wobble.

4. Peeled and glued onto the back of the monster and then onto the decorated door sign.

Here they are both wobbling away!

I love the lil’ monster swinging on the tire, it’s an Echo Park file found in the Silhouette Online Store, Tree & Tire Swing.

Well I hope you enjoyed this project, the Action Wobbles are a fun way to use your Carta Bella Stickers.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Carta Bella Wildflower Wall Decor

I have two inspirational wall art projects to share with you today using Carta Bella's Wildflower collection.

This is such a pretty paper collection, I really enjoyed working with it.  It's fresh and hip but yet it brought me back in time, I just love it!

The pink and green paper for the background of each canvas looks just like paint strokes. I kept it simple just adding the matted print n cut phrases and element stickers.

The frames are actually 8 1/2" x 11" cardboard kid paint kits that I picked up at the dollar store.  Perfect to cover with pretty pattern paper.  I added a couple of different colors of Trendy Twine and some buttons.  These are going in my craft room.

SVG Cuts Design Team Fall Project

Here is my Design Team project for SVG Cuts, a Fall Window Wall Hanging.  I really love how this came out and it can be adapted for other holidays or seasons as well.  Swap out the scarecrow for a ghost or witch and some black flowers for Halloween or Santa and poinsettias for Christmas, so many possibilities.

I used the crate from the Caramel Apple Pie kit for the window frame and just made a top to fit over the boards to cover the seams and create the window panes.

For the eyes I did a print 2 cut in eCals with my Eclips, you can get the svg file here and it's also with the directions on svg cuts blog.  I used raffia for the scarecrows hair and hands, just fringed it with scissors.  That's raffia also on the cornstalk, which is a freebie.

Embossing the leaves gives them some nice texture, I used the leather texture plate from Fiskar's assortment pack.

Love these boxed letters from Ryan's Play Date, they added the perfect dimension to the frame.

I used glimmer mist throughout this whole project to give it a nice shimmer.

Well I hope you enjoyed this project and if you do make it please leave a link to your blog or add it to svg cuts facebook page,  I would love to see it!!

Enchanted Fairies!

The Enchanted Sparrow Paperscape is one of my favorite kits from SVG Cuts.  It make such a beautiful wall hanging and when you pair it with other kit or collection you get a whole new theme.  I made a winter scene using snowman paper, changing the flowers for holly and the sparrow for a cardinal.  The minute I saw the new collection Twilight Fairies I knew I had to use them together, I really like how it turned out.  So if you are looking for a nice home decor kit, check out Enchanted Sparrow Paperscape.

The background paper is from Echo Parks Great Outdoors Mini Theme and the front is also from Echo Park, LeBallet du Grand Mini Theme.

4th of July Americana

I just love Americana style home decor so when I saw the 3D star from the banner in SVG Cuts Made In The USA kit last year I knew I had to make it into a wall hanging.  I enlarged the pieces so the whole size would be around 12 x 12 and I used the print 2 cut feature on my sizzix eclips to print the verse from I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy, one of my favorite James Cagney movies.  I found this Americana digital paper by Tracie Stroud Designs, http://scraporchard.com/market/Americana-Digital-Scrapbook.htmlit's totally perfect for my project and I absolutely love it.

Well after making the star I thought an american flag crate would look cute for my 4th of July cake pops, so I altered the crate from the Caramel Apple Pie Kit.  I shortened the height on the crate boards and added three more for the stripes, a total of 5 on each side.  The star piece is from the Main Street USA Mega Pack.  Then of course I needed a card so I took the flower card from the Iris Fold Cards kit and created this star card.

I must say I really love how they all turned out, love SVG Cuts files!!

Bless This House

I just love SVGCuts new kit, Iris Fold Cards, so much that I thought how awesome would it look as a wall hanging, so I enlarged it, the measurements are around 8" x 9 1/2".  I did a print n cut for the Bess This House and just put the cuts together, through a couple of buttons on it and used wire to hang it.  I think fabric would be wonderful, just think how it would look on a throw pillow.  If I get a chance this week I'll give it a try.

I used Kingthings Xstitch font, I think it look awesome to stitch it.

Enchanted Cardinal

SVGCuts has this really nice kit Enchanted Sparrow, and I thought how pretty to make it into a cardinal for winter. I used the wing from the kit and added it to the cardinal from Christmas Cookie Party. The holly is from the 3D Wintergreens kit. I think I'll make one for all the seasons, it also would be really nice to make as a gift for someone. The paper is Echo Park Wintertime Digital paper pack, love this paper!! Everything was cut using my new Zing in Make the Cut.
